Today's Rupiah Gains 2.4 Percent

The rupiah strengthened 2.4 percent to $ 8813 in interbank trading closed on Friday (30/09/2011) afternoon. Since the beginning of the year, the rupiah rose 1.9 percent. Throughout this week, seen from the beginning of the week until the weekend, the rupiah strengthened 2.6 percent.

Similarly, studies of Bank Mandiri economist Destry Damayanti expressed here on Friday night. "When viewed from the beginning of the month, still depreciated 3.4 percent", said Destry. Composite Stock Price Index also crept up 3.6 percent since the beginning of the week for a total of Rp 6.9 trillion of foreign purchases.

Today the market is driving the share prices of Unilever Indonesia at the closing session of Rp 16,500. Other stocks which also move the market is Gudang Garam with a price of Rp 52,500 and Rp Telekomunikasi Indonesia 7600. As for the negative growth is the stake in Bank Mandiri with a closing price of Rp 6300, PGN at a price of Rp 2675, and Astra International at a price of Rp 63,650.
